Achieving good mental health is a major challenge for Australia. Mental disorders are now a significant threat to our social and economic prospects. 75% of mental disorders begin between the ages of 15-25 years. Untreated mental disorders rob our young people of their capacity to complete education, start work and have families.

We need to do more to prevent the onset of mental health problems or their consequences such as suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, family break down, physical ill-health and chronic unemployment.

Please help us in our task of representing and promoting the interests of the Australian mental health sector and to achieve better mental health for all Australians.
